It’s a bright sunny Saturday morning and Carly is getting her eleven-month-old little boy Madison Bailey ready to go to the park with Dru and her child Kevin Jr. whose five, when there is a knock at the door.

“It’s open.” Carly yells out from the nursery floor assuming it’s Dru, as she struggles with Madison to hold still long enough to put his shoes on.

“Mommy! I’ve told you hundreds of times! I don’t like shoes!” Madison states, as he tries to crawl over to his favorite buddy Elmo laying a few feet away.

Carly finally gets his shoes on and grabs several of his favorite toys from the floor and stuffs them in a backpack, and picks him and his favorite blanket up, and heads down the steps, but stops suddenly on the bottom step when Marshall turns around from looking at a eight by ten picture of Madison and her taken a couple months ago by Dru, that’s displayed on the television.

Marshall . . . what are you doing here?” Carly nervously asks, as she tightly holds Madison to her chest, throwing the blanket over him, as Marshall stands in the middle of the floor with a lost expression.

“Heah! I thought you said it was warm outside! Who are you talking to?” Madison says as he struggles to get the blanket off his head.

“I was just leaving.” Carly nervously quickly adds, as she is moving towards the front door, Madison getting totally pissed that Mommy threw a blanket over his head.

“I don’t think he likes the blanket over his head.” Marshall comments in a fatherly tone, after a few minutes of silences between them, but Madison fussing about the blanket.

“Who Ever You Are You’re Right! Get this off my head!” Madison firmly states.

“I’ll be right back.” Carly urgently states, and rushes out the door and across the lawn to Dru’s house, and barges in.

“Mommy why are you so upset?” Madison asks in concern.

“Dru where are you?” Carly frantically yells out as she is racing into the kitchen, almost running into Dru.

“His Back whada I do? I think he knows.” Carly hysterical cries, as Dru grabs her shaking body by the arm and leads her to a chair.

“Whose Back?” Madison curiously asks.

“Carly first we need to calm down.” Dru calmly says, as she takes Madison from her.

“Yeah! Calm Down! And tell me whose back or do I have to guess whose back. I really think I’ve missed something.” Madison says in confusion.

“Where is he now?” Dru asks as she calmly looks out her sliding glass door at the back yard as she is locking it.

“Yeah Let’s go outside!” Madison excitedly says.

“Wait a Minute! This is Marshall Mathers we’re talking about?  Right!” Dru states as she realizes that she just locked the door, and quickly unlocks it.

“Heah! I don’t know a Marshall Mathers. Lock The Door Back!” Madison firmly states.

“Can we PLEASE forget about your obsession for one minute! Remember what I told you about what he did to KIM! . . . .  I don’t want to be another Kim.” Carly rattles, as Dru places Madison in a high chair and gives him a sippy cup of juice.

“Thank You Aunt Dru. Mommy why are you so upset about Aunt Dru’s obsession? Do I know Kim? I don’t want you to be another Kim either. Cause you’re my Mommy.” Madison rattles.

“Just go over and see what he wants, I don’t think he’s going to stuff you in a trunk this early in the morning.” Dru jokily states desperately trying to get Carly to smile, knowing Carly is truly scared and remembering what she said about how he sent Kim away.

“Yeah go see what he wants. Maybe he wants to go to the park with us if he already has his stuff in the trunk.” Madison says, as he is sipping on his juice.

“What if he asks about Madison?” Carly says with a nervous smile, as she knells down in front of Madison in the high chair and he offers her his juice, with a laugh.

“ME? I’ve been asking about him and ya’ll don’t seem to care. Wanna drink its apple.” Madison states as he is offering Mommy a drink.

“I Love You More Than Life It’s Self.” Carly sincerely says with all her heart to Madison, as she softly runs her hand over his light brown hair.

“I Love You Too Mommy!” Madison sincerely says.

“Just tell him that . . . . .  Madison is your God Child.” Dru says, as she stands over Carly.

“Just tell him I’m your adorable well behaved son!” Madison states.

“That’s Good! . . . That could work. . . . Yeah!” Carly says as she stands thinking it over, as Dru gives her one of her famous hugs and smiles.

“Mommy! Remember that book you read me the other night about lying!” Madison firmly states, as he bangs his cup down on the tray.

“Just Keep Smiling! Try not to look like your hiding something.” Dru says is a sisterly tone, as Carly smiles and kisses Madison goodbye and then takes several deep breathe.

“Heah! Heah Mommy you’re leaving Without Me!” Madison screams totally pissed off.

“Sorry.” Carly nervously says as she walks into the house and slides down in the chair across from Marshall sitting on the sofa, and he smiles.

“I didn’t mean to interrupt anything. . . . . . .  Where’s the little boy?” Marshall nervously sincerely says, as his heart feels as if it’s going to bust out of his chest.

“I was on my way to the park with Dru.” Carly says almost in a whisper, hoping he is just gonna take that as an answer, as Marshall leans forward a little trying to hear, with a confused expression.

“Dru is my best friend from next door. The lady that was with me at the restaurant” Carly says, realizing Marshall doesn’t know Dru.

“Oh.” Marshall says, as he nervously stands and Carly quickly does also.

“Carly . . . .” Marshall starts to say but stops, as he walks over to the picture and looks down at it, wanting to ask, but quickly turning around and looking at Carly the one he truly loves and then quickly leaves without saying a word.

Marshall.” Carly cries as she collapses into the chair crying uncontrollably, knowing that all his wrongs could never compare to what she just done. After an hour or so of crying Carly pulls herself together and goes and picks Madison up. Dru coming over several times during the day to check on her.

As the days pass Dru and Carly keep informed of Marshall’s Eminem Show and Anger Management schedule, and mostly his every move, and even read some fascinating fictional stories through a web site called Capture The Rage.

One night Carly walks into her bedroom after putting Madison to bed and just happens to look out her bedroom window and notices a strange car parked across the street, and frantically calls Dru to find out where Marshall is. Dru reassures her that he’s in Florida and Minnesota is nowhere near Florida, it’s just her over active imagination.

After Carly notices the car five nights in a row and even several times during the day. The ladies come to the conclusion that Marshall is having her watched and as strange as it sounded to Dru’s husband Kevin they decided to have a sleep over planned around Marshall concert break, just knowing he’d mostly likely would appear. And just like clock work a white Blazer with blacked out windows, joined the car.

“This is ridiculous! Box is a very large man HE can’t sleep in that Blazer all night!” Carly says as she walks away from peeking out the window and sits on the bed beside Dru who’s steadily painting her finger nails in the middle of the bed.

“BOX! What about EM?” Dru asks, as she looks over at her friend who is taking another drink of her Hennessey and Pepsi.

“Cheers!” Dru says as she grabs her glass and clings Carly’s, happy they decided to drop off the boys with her mother, and add alcohol to the sleep over.

“I’m gonna take him a pillow.” Carly states as she quickly stands, and Dru looks up at her.

“If you take Box a pillow I’m taking Em one!” Dru states as she also stands.

“Dru remember He is the enemy!” Carly states, as she picks up a pillow from the bed.

“BULLSHIT CARLY! You more in love with him today than you were when you lived with him!” Dru matter factly states, as she grabs a pillow from the bed.

“Your Drunk!” Carly states as she also grabs a pillow and starts out the bedroom door, then turns back around and tosses the pillow back on the bed.

“I anit giving them my good pillows!” Carly states and then leaves the room, with Dru close behind.

“You said Them!” Dru points out as they stop at the linen closet in the hallway and Carly grabs two pillows and a blanket.

“Which one gets the blanket?” Dru jokily asks as Carly hands her a pillow, as she rolls her eyes, while trying to figure out why in the hell her heart is so worried about how they’re sleeping.

“There’s another blanket down stairs.” Carly says, as they make their way down the steps. Once down stairs Carly gets another blanket and hands it to Dru, then suddenly stops.

“Wait! What if he goes to your mothers?” Carly nervously asks, as reality comes crashing back.

“Carly! He doesn’t know my mother! Sometimes I don’t even know my mother!” Dru firmly comments, as she rolls her eyes and flops down on the sofa.

“You want him to know that you know he’s out there. Soooo Take the pillow out to Box.” Dru sarcastically says, as she gets up and walks into the kitchen leaving Carly standing in the middle of the living room floor, not wanting to attempt her friend is right.

“I Do Not!” Carly defensively states, as she quickly goes into the kitchen, and finds Dru starting to fix them another mixed drink.

“Thought you where taking Box a pillow?” Dru sarcastically asks, as she hands Carly her drink.

“I Am!” Carly defensively states, and then takes a drink.

“When?” Dru curiously asks, as she is leaning against the counter with her drink.

“In a minute! . . . . I just need to calm my nerves first!” Carly states as her mind quickly takes her back to the first time she used alcohol to calm her nerves with Marshall, and if she had it to do over again, she’d fucked him right there.

“WHAT? What?” Dru quickly asks, as she sees Carly’s expression drastically change.

“Nothing!” Carly quickly says, wondering where in the hell the fuck part came from, but smiles as she thinks of the million places they did make Love.

“Cheers!” Carly quickly adds, trying to hide that all so long ago but so familiar feeling returning in the pit of her stomach.

“Okay . . . . .  Go take the poor man a pillow.” Dru states after taking a drink; as she starts to playfully push Carly towards the living room.

“Don’t rush me! . . . . I thought you were my friend.” Carly playfully asks, as she wonders what she is going to say.

“I’m Your Friend! . . . . . . I Love Kevin with all my heart, WHO! Is sleeping alone tonight! . . . SO I don’t want Eminem!  Sooooo you can have him.” Dru says with a deep breathe but quickly adds the last part just to make Carly laugh, but thoughts of her husband sleeping in a their home alone, gets her to thinking of the things they could be doing.

“While you’re gone I’ll put some music on.” Dru adds in, as she dances over to the stereo, and begins to play with the radio, trying to find a good variety.

“WAIT! I like that!” Carly yells out.

“What is it?” Dru totally surprised asks, as the noise continues to come from the speaker.

“It’s Disturbed’s The Sickness!” Carly yells as she hurries over to the stereo, and cranks the volume all the way up.

“Okay.” Dru says as she shakes her head at the weird noise that is coming from the speaker, but thinks she hears a knock at the door and wonders if it’s the song or a real knock at the door.

“I Have The CD!” Carly says as she takes a drink, as she is searching through her CD collection.

“Wonderful! BUT I think someone is knocking at the door.” Dru yells, as she is praying it’s the police to force her friend to turn off the noise, as Carly is switching the stereo over to CD, and placing Disturbed in to the CD player.
