Twisted 6

Before leaving Elton explains to Jean that he’s leaving, but Mr. Mathers would be staying in for the evening, and then plans his Baby’s dinner with the cook before leaving.

Marshall lies on his bed staring at the ceiling debating on whether to call Paul or maybe even Proof to make his travel agreements back to the states, but suddenly angrily throws a pillow across the room.

“I need a drink!” Marshall states out loud, as he sits up, but knowing Elton wants him to stay in his room and take a nap; he still quietly goes down to the den.

“You need something Mr. Mathers?” Jean rudely asks, coming into the room, and catches Marshall looking over the liquor.

“I need a bottle of Hennessy and a flight to the states.” Marshall states, trying to be nice as he flops down on the sofa.

“Elton planned your dinner before he left. When will you want it served?” Jean agitatedly asks, as Marshall gives her an agitated expression.

“I Don’t Want Dinner! I want Hennessy and a plane ticket!” Marshall agitatedly states, as he leans his head back and closes his eyes, and Jean leaves the room, wondering why in the hell Elton would associate with someone like Marshall Mathers.

Several moments later Jean returns with a fifth of Hennessy, and sits it on the cocktail table in front of him, while trying to figure out if he’s asleep, or just sitting there with his eyes closed.

“Mr. Mathers?” Jean quickly states, as Marshall opens his eyes and looks up at her, then the Hennessy on the table.

“Thank You.” Marshall says with a forced smile.

“Sir will there be anything else? Jean forces herself to ask nicely.

“No thank you. Take the rest of the night off.” Marshall says as he cracks open the fifth of Hennessy, as he starts to get up to get a glass, knowing Elton doesn’t like when he drinks out of the bottle.

“I’ll get it.” Jean agitatedly states as she walks over to the bar, and he sits back down on the sofa.

“Thank You.” Marshall sincerely says, as she hands him the glass with a disgusted expression.

“Elton was so obsessed with making sure you had dinner, so you have to eat!” Jean firmly explains, as Marshall takes several quick shots of Hennessy.

“Elton obsesses over everything. I usually ignore him.” Marshall jokily comments with a laugh, Jean not finding his comments that amusing.

“He just wants to make sure your happy!” Jean firmly states, and then starts to leave the room.

“Then Why Did He Leave Me Alone!” Marshall firmly states, as Jean quickly stops and turns around and looks directly at him.

“Elton is a very NICE Man! God Only Knows Why He’s So Obsessed With You!” Jean firmly comments, but takes a quick deep breath before saying anything else and quickly leaving the room.

“I’ve Been Wondering The Same FUCKIN’ Thing!” Marshall loudly states, and then takes another drink.

Two hours pass with Marshall sitting in silence in the den drinking alone, trying to make some senses out of his life, before his eyes become heavy and he stretches out on the sofa and is almost asleep when three strangers barge into the den yelling for Elton and Marshall quickly sits up.

“Sorry! . . . . .  We’re looking for Elton.” A middle sized man states, as the three people stand in the middle of the room staring at Marshall.

“He’s not here.” Marshall states standing and staring back at them.

“You can wait here for him if you like. I was just leaving.” Marshall states getting a little annoyed at their staring.

“Aren’t you . . . .” The second man starts to ask but stops, when the first man rushes over to shake Marshall hand, as the woman crosses the room and sits down in a chair across from the sofa that Marshall is standing in front of.

“Elton never told us he really knew you! I know you guys work on the Grammy’s a few years back, but he never mention really knowing you.” The man happily states as he shakes Marshall’s hand.

“Who are you people?” Marshall agitated asks, as he is picking up his glass of Hennessy and then takes a drink, trying to ignore the fact that Elton never told his obvious friends that they really know each other.

“We’re Elton’s friends. I’m Trey and this is Emily and Marvin. We came by to see if he wanted to go clubbing with us. You Wanna Go?” Trey explains as Marvin walks over to the bar and begins to fix drinks.

“Well he’s out. He said he wouldn’t be gone long.” Marshall agitatedly states, trying very hard not to seem bothered by the fact that it been almost four hours since Elton left, and he just made it out to be working on The Grammy’s only.

“You and Elton working together again?” Trey asks as Marshall and him sit down on opposite ends the sofa, as Marvin hands Trey a mixed drink.

“Would you like for me to freshen that for you?” Marvin sincerely asks, as he notices Marshall’s half empty glass.

“I got it.” Marshall says picking up the bottle of Hennessy sitting in front of him, as Marvin smiles and sits in the chair beside Emily.

“SO! Are you and Elton working on another project? Come On Spill It!” Trey nosily asks, as he leans back and gives Marshall a friendly smile.

“No . . . just  . . . . visiting.” Marshall stumbles to say, not really knowing how to answer the question, as he feels all eyes are on him, and he takes a large drink.

“DAMN! Why don’t I every get house guest like you!” Trey jokily comments with a large smile, loving the fact that he is actually talking with Eminem and he doesn’t want to kill him and seems to be friendly.

“So Elton doesn’t know you’re here.” Marvin quickly asks trying to ignore the obvious that Trey is drooling over the most homophobic man alive.

“Elton knows I’m here. He had to leave, something about contracts.” Marshall states trying not to sound agitated, as the three visitors smile at each other like they know something he doesn’t.

“That was Rude of Elton to leave you! I wouldn’t of left you all alone to entertain yourself in a foreign country.” Trey sincerely states, as he glances at Marshall, and he wonders if Trey is making a pass at him.

Marshall keeps a very close eye on the time, as he entertains Elton’s friends. Everyone decides to play pool. Emily and Marshall team up against Marvin and Trey but around midnight Trey and Marvin try to talk Marshall into going clubbing with them, and he declines.

Marshall slowly follows his new friends to the door, almost pleading for them to stay, knowing Elton is going to be home soon and they all can go out.

After they leave Marshall slowly makes his way back to the den, and sits down on the sofa, resting his head back and closes his eyes, wondering what Elton could be doing this time of night, but knowing he is staying away from his own home, because his dirty lips and tongue forced him into a kiss, Elton being such a nice good person would never ask him to leave.

Marshall opens his eyes and jumps in surprise as a hand rests on his knee.

“I’m a good listener.” Emily sincerely whispers, as her hand slowly wipes a tear from his cheek.

“I thought . . .” Marshall confused whispers, as Emily takes hold of his hands.

“Elton is truly my best friend, and I know he has a good reason for leaving you alone.” Emily sincerely explains with a smile, as she looks in to totally confused eyes.

“I’m fine.” Marshall nervously mumbles, as Emily gives his hands a reassuring squeeze as she smiles.

“Yeah Right! That’s why you’ve been watching EVERY clock and your watch through the night. Were you trying to convince us or yourself that he was gonna be home soon?”  Emily sincerely says, and then waits for him to deny what she has been watching all night.

“He said he was gonna try to hurry.” Marshall tries to defensively say, as Emily gives him a friendly smile.

“I bad . . . . . . earlier . . . he is NOT gonna come home till I’m gone.” Marshall confesses.

“And you really think that?” Emily sincerely asks.

“Yeah.” Marshall insecurely mumbles, thinking he really should leave.

“Who are you?” Marshall agitatedly asks, not liking how concern she looks or is acting.

“I’m Elton’s and hopefully your friend.” Emily sincerely says, really seeing what Elton has told her, as Marshall nervously looks around the room not wanting to look at her

“You wanna know something?” Emily playfully asks, after a few minutes of intense silences between them.

“Sure.” Marshall answers, with a smile, as he lays his head back on the sofa.

“Trey has the Hot’s for you.” Emily says with a laugh, as she thinks back to earlier and how Trey was drooling over Marshall.

“What gave you the first clue?” Marshall jokily asks, noticing Trey’s drooling also, as they both laugh.

Emily and Marshall sit on the sofa and drink and talk some more. Nothing to important, just getting to know each other. Her being a research scientist for Heart Disease, and that’s how she met Elton trying to find money for her research. Emily hoping to work the conversion back around to what’s bothering Elton’s Baby.

“I can see that you’re falling asleep. I’ve bored you enough.” Emily comments, when she notices Marshall struggling to keep his eyes open, and she begins to stand.

“NO! Don’t Go!” Marshall quickly states as he grabs her wrist and pulls her back down on the sofa.

“Sorry . . . . . Don’t go . . . . . I’ll pay you to stay.” Marshall desperately pleads; as she gives him a confused but worried expression, as he slowly let’s go over her wrist.

“Just Friends! I don’t . . . . I’ll be bored.” Marshall nervously states, not wanting her to know that he really doesn’t want to be left alone.

“Just Friends I Promise! I’ll give you anything you want. Just to sit here with me. Please don’t leave me.” Marshall states with desperation in his voice, as she grabs his hand and holds it tightly, as she sees the loneliness in his eyes.

“You don’t have to pay me to sit here and keep you company. When most likely you’ll be asleep in ten minutes.” Emily sincerely says, as she continues to hold his hand, trying to reassure him.

“A Thousand if you keep holding my hand, and here when I wake up.” Marshall sincerely says, as he leans his head back and smiles at her.

“I don’t know what is crazier. You making that kind of offer, or me taking you up on it.” Emily says with half a laugh as she leans back and smiles back at Marshall.

“Everyone says I’m crazy.” Marshall says with a yawn, as thoughts of how many times he has made the offer to Kim and she taking it, just for the money.

“Alright Mr. Mathers. Do you want a bed time story?” Emily jokily asks, as Marshall closes his eyes with a smile, continuing to hold tightly to Emily’s right hand.

Marshall drifts off to sleep with thoughts of it’s Elton’s hand he is holding, as Emily watches and wonders how someone so famous could be so insecure and lonely, but as she drifts off to sleep her mind wondering what happened between Elton and his Baby.
